We are selling delicious See’s Candies to raise funds to build adaptive playgrounds for children in our local community through the Idaho Playground Project.  \nOur goal is to ensure that children with varied abilities can experience play without being limited by the high costs of adaptive playground equipment. We have already secured a Rotary matching grant to purchase a DNA Climber\, and funds from our 2025 Martini Tasting Masquerade Ball will also contribute to purchasing more equipment.  \nHowever\, we still need your help!  \nThis is a great opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas shopping\, as See’s will handle all the logistics and shipping\, with items set to begin shipping on November 11\, 2024\, just in time for Christmas. \nShop online here to browse and purchase your favorite candies online. SUMMARY:Speaker ~ Dr. Brady Dickenson - TF School District Superintendant
DESCRIPTION:The TFSD is pursuing a $7.2 million levy to support school operations. This levy will replace the current one that expires on July 30\, 2025. It will be on the 2024 ballot on November 5th. \nDr. Brady will discuss how these funds will be used in the school district and the costs for taxpayers. \nPlease bring a guest and the public is always welcome. \nAbout:  \nDr. Dickinson has been with the Twin Falls School District since 1995.  He started his career as a social studies teacher at Robert Stuart Middle School in 1995. In 2007\, he took the role of Vice Principal and Athletic Director at Robert Stuart Middle School. Dr. Dickinson helped with the planning and opening of Canyon Ridge High School as the school’s first Principal in 2009. \nThat same year he received the Extra Mile Award from the Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce. While working as the Principal at CRHS in 2011\, he received the Milken Award for the State of Idaho\, which honors inspiring excellence in the world of education. Dr. Dickinson moved to a role in the District Office in 2013 to serve as the Director of Operations. \nUnder his leadership\, the TFSD built three new schools and provided needed upgrades to many of the district’s aging buildings. \nHe became superintendent in 2016 taking on the district’s mission to “Provide a quality education necessary for all students to be successful in life.”

DESCRIPTION:Be sure to join us for this educational behind the scenes look at our local County Coroner’s.  Our tour guide will be Will Carson\, TF County Coroner. \nWe will meet at the Coroner’s Office at 5:30pm \nBe sure to bring a guest and the public is welcome to joins us. \nSpeaker Details: \nCarson has worked at the Twin Falls Coroner’s Office for 12 years. He started as an intern under former coroner Dennis Chamber and has been the chief deputy since 2015. His name\, along with two others\, was forwarded to commissioners on Jan. 10 by the county’s Republican Central Committee as possible replacements following a retirement announcement on Jan. 5. \nCarson’s experience with the office\, particularly in managing it during the past coroner’s medical issues over the last two years\, made him the natural choice as new coroner.

DESCRIPTION:Alex will be discussing all the details of Proposition 1\, including the pros and cons\, of an important initiative that will be on the ballot this November. Our goal is to educate voters and help them understand this proposition. \nIn November\, Idaho voters will decide whether to enact Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) for statewide elections\, while using a non-partisan Top 4 primary system to determine which candidates advance to the general election. \nCurrently\, Idaho is one of nine states referred to as a “partially closed” primary state\, which means that private political parties are allowed to decide whether to include ballots from nonaffiliated voters. \n  \nSpeaker Details: \nAlexandra Caval is a bankruptcy attorney who focuses her practice on debtor rights in bankruptcy. Ms. Caval is a 2008 graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law. She is also involved in Republican politics within the State of Idaho.  In her spare time\, Ms. Caval enjoys painting and hiking.
