Join the Twin Falls Rotary After Hours for this fun, safe, warmer alternative this Halloween AND you get to help your local school dist! We are hosting Harry Potter themed Haunted Mazes at Canyon Crest Event Center October 31st 5:30-8pm to help raise funds for school supplies, field trips and hygiene items for students in need in the Twin Falls area. Cost is only $3/person and/or a school supply from the lists.
There will be 2 mazes; a very toddler friendly (not scary) simple open maze replicating the Dark Forest, it will have a couple dead ends but easy for the little ones to get around that would appeal to toddlers up to 5.
The second haunted maze will be Hogwart’s School of Wizardery & Magic! This maze will be a little more scary and completely enclosed. Get ready to meet all of Harry Potter’s friends and enemies in the maze, IF you can find your way out….. At the end you will help Harry confront the evil Voldemort! This maze will appeal to the 5 and up group, including parents.
There will also be lots of fun age appropriate games & races with prizes, a cookie decorating table, a spells table, face painting and more! All children will receive a trick or treat bag with candy and other prizes. Canyon Crest will be providing homemade goodies!
Twin Falls Rotary After Hours goal this year is to raise awareness of the challenges our school teachers and district face and contribute what we can to alleviate the stress faced by teachers and the students families.
Schools in Twin Falls provide items and services to children that are less fortunate than others. Common items include hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair brushes, deodorant, etc. As well as detergent for the schools that have washing machines/dryers to allow students to wash their few items of clothing as they do not have these luxuries at home.
This years biggest need items are:
These are items that are above and beyond standard school supplies which ALSO are in great need. Twin Falls Rotary After Hours will be doing various fund raisers throughout the year to help accumulate these types of products so teachers are not spending their own funds.
